PAPAL CHOIR PRACTICE

The special Papal Choir, assembled from various neighboring Parishes, has started practicing for the upcoming Papal Mass to be held Sunday, September 27th. David Kimock from St. Andrews in Newtown has been assigned director of Liturgical Music for this historical event. Our friend David and St. Andrews are the proud owners of an Allen organ, which performs faithfully every week. After weeks of intense practice, and just just before the Mass, two last rehearsals will happen at the Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall with the Philadelphia Orchestra - led by Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Pope Francis will celebrate the mass closing the World Meeting of Families 2015. The Mass will be held outside the Philadelphia Art Museum and is open to all.
