Recently Grafton Piano & Organ was pleased to deliver, install, and voice a new Chancel Series organ by Allen Organ. This new model incorporates Allen's new GENESYS system, designed to safeguard against hardware obsolescence. It's easy to write new software, but having the hardware designed to work with the software has always been the problem - everywhere, not just with digital organs. Allen Organ's GENESYS System is designed to be 'Hardware Agnostic', meaning it is adaptable as newer hardware is used. Of particular interest is that St. David's old organ was an Allen, built almost 60-years ago. Barbara, the Church's organist, commented that as long as she can remember they have only needed service on 'old faithful' three times!
