This coming October 1st and 2nd the
Shrine of the Miraculous Medal will host a music workshop on
Saturday (2:00PM), and a concert Sunday (2:00) on the
Shrines new 4-manual Allen Organ. Dr. Nyquist
is mentioned in 'Outstanding Educators of America', 'International Who’s Who in Music, and in American Keyboard Artists. He received an award for the Outstanding Teacher of the Year - University of California, Santa Barbara in 1967 and also at Santa Clara University in 1973. In June, 1984, Dr. Nyquist was given the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Alumni Association of Augustana College for his career as a concert organist and teacher.

Dr. Nyquist was Professor of Music and University Organist at Santa Clara University for 24 years, on the faculty of Southwestern College, Winfield, Kansas, and the University of California. Nyquist now is investing full time in his concert career, private organ teaching, and recording.
